T. Boone Pickens And Wife To Divorce

Texas oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens and his wife of seven years Madeleine are reportedly divorcing. The two married in 2005. She is his fourth wife.

Pickens is a native of Holdenville, Oklahoma.. He graduated from Oklahoma A&M -- now Oklahoma State -- in 1951 with a degree in Geology. He has since made his fortune in oil drilling. Most recently, he's become an advocate of alternative energy sources.

His soon-to-be former wife Madeleine is known for her involvement in animal rights causes. Over the years, T. Boone Pickens has donated more than $400 million to his Alma mater for which has named its football stadium and Geology School after him.

According to his spokesman through the Associated Press, the split is amicable and is the result of the pair's interests requiring them to live apart.
