Some Green Country domestic abuse victims have a new place to turn to for help.

The new Donald W. Reynolds Family Safety Center opened in Claremore Thursday.

It's for families in Rogers and Mayes Counties, who are trying to get out of violent situations.

The old Safenet building only had three bedrooms. This new facility has ten bedrooms with 35 beds.

"We've been full, most of our time, all this last year, and we had to turn away over 300 women and children this year," said Safenet Services Executive Director Donna Grabow.

The center was paid for with a more than $4 million grant from the Reynolds foundation.
