Tulsa Public Schools is taking extra steps to keep people away from the old Barnard Elementary, which burned last week.

TPS put up a fence around the burned building Thursday.

Despite on-site security, the school district said people were putting their lives in danger to try and collect memorabilia.

So, as a deterrent, TPS said it will salvage what it can from the building and share them with Barnard alumni and fans.

The Tulsa Fire Marshal said Tulsa Fire and the ATF hope to finish their investigation into the cause of the fire Friday.
