Republican congressional candidate Markwayne Mullin has been released from a Tulsa area hospital.
Mullin was hospitalized earlier this week after he began having trouble swallowing and breathing. He was treated for a torn esophagus.
Mullin's campaign manager released a statement Thursday:
"I'm happy to report that I'm back home with my family after being hospitalized for a few days. The doctors and nurses, who treated me, were amazing and expect me to make a full recovery. I'm also grateful for the out-pouring of support I received this past week. I feel blessed to have such great friends and family and I thank God for them every day. I'm happy to be back to full-time campaigning and talking about how we can get Washington, D.C. back on track."
Mullin will face Democrat Rob Wallace in the 2nd District Congressional race in November.
