Carrie Underwood Tweets Pics From Visit To Checotah Animal Shelter

Oklahoma country music superstar Carrie Underwood stopped by the Checotah Animal Shelter earlier this week.

Shelter employees say Underwood always takes time to stop by the shelter when she is in Checotah and on Monday, Underwood was in town for a friend's baby shower.

Employees say Underwood also brought in a dog she found wandering in Checotah.

While at the Checotah Animal Shelter, Underwood tweeted several pictures of her holding some of the shelter's many kittens.

She has a history of supporting the shelter.

During Monday's visit, Carrie Underwood spent about 45 minutes at the shelter playing with the kittens.
