Update On Status Of Injured Tulane Player Walker

According to Tulane University's team physician Dr. Greg Stewart, Green Wave safety Devon Walker underwent surgery this afternoon. In a three-hour surgery at St. Francis hospital in Tulsa, neurosurgeons were able to stabilize his spine.

Stewart says Walker is now in recovery and will likely remain in ICU for the next few days.  It will be several days before doctors can assess his condition post-surgery.

In related news, both universities, Tulane and Tulsa, will announce Monday how the community may donate to Walker and his family.
