Mark Estrada scored a goal in the 44th minute to lift the UCLA men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.

The 24th-ranked Hurricane held their own against the eighth-ranked Bruins, but couldn't capitalize on their scoring opportunities.

"We didn't play well in the beginning," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "We didn't do a good job of holding the ball and our passing wasn't great, but in the second half we did a much better job. I thought we got up to them better, we closed down better and we did a better job combining. We created enough chances to even the game up, but we just didn't get a goal. They are a good team and it was a good game."

UCLA had a 16-10 lead in shots, while TU had a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal, and the Bruins had a 5-2 lead in corner kicks.

TU fell to 2-2 on the young season with the loss. The Hurricane play Loyola Marymount on Sunday.
