Tulsa Public Schools gave the students and faculty at Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences a truckload of school supplies Friday to replace what they lost in Wednesday's devastating fire.
The supplies were left over after the Tulsa Fire Department and the city council held a supply drive last month before school started.
About 300 students attend the Tulsa School of Arts and Science. They're now attending classes in the empty Sequoyah Elementary building.
TSAS is still gathering school supplies, and Saied Music Company is collecting and repairing instruments for the band. Click here for more information about their needs and how to help.
Also, the University of Tulsa announced Friday that they will host a supply drive for TSAS during TU's home football game on September 15. Student volunteers will be placed at the entrance to the H.A. Chapman Stadium to collect monetary and school supply donations.
