Camille Pelley scored in the first minute, setting the pace for the Tulsa women's soccer team's 7-0 romp over Nicholls State Sunday afternoon.
Claire Nicholson had a hat trick for the Golden Hurricane while Pelley and Stephanie Aitken both scored two goals each.
By halftime, the score was 4-0, and the game had turned into a laugher. Nicholson scored two of her three goals in the last 20 minutes to put the final touches on the beatdown.
The Colonels managed just two shots the entire game, with none of them directed on goal. In contrast, Tulsa seemingly played the entire game in front of the Nicholls State goal. The Golden Hurricane ended up with 23 shots and 14 on goal.
Tulsa will face Missouri State Friday at Hurricane Stadium up 5:30 p.m.
