A playground dreamed up by some Sand Springs kids came to life on Friday.

More than 200 volunteers built a new playground at the Charles Page Family Village, a housing program for single mothers who have at least two children.

Kids came up with the design during an event in May, and the national movement, Let's Play, footed the bill.

According to the housing program's website, Women in the program are required to consistently work to better their lives. They need to be in school, or working, and their children must be cared for and attending school.

The Charles Page Family Village provides homes for 108 families.
