Editor's note: We're moving into a brand new building at the end of the year, which means we have to take inventory of everything in our old one.  That includes going through thousands of hours of old videotapes.  We've found some real treasures so we're sharing them here.

To some people, it was just a square, plastic toy covered with stickers of varied colors.  To others it was so much more.   

In the early 1980s, a puzzle called the Rubik's Cube came to America and for some citizens life would never be the same.  One of those citizens was a Memorial High School student named Bob Hearn.

Reporter Randy Lewin met Bob on October 8, 1981.  That's when he learned that for Bob, Rubik's Cube was not just a game.  Play the video to see why.
