Several Tulsa neighborhoods have joined forces with the Florence Park community, after a neighbor was killed by a stray bullet, while shopping with his young daughter at a Best Buy store last month.
Since the shooting, members of Wesley Brown's community have been putting up teal ribbons in honor of gang violence awareness. Teal was Brown's favorite color.

Now, that movement is spreading to other neighborhoods.
Tuesday night, the Florence Park Neighborhood Association hosted a question and answer session with Tulsa Police. Other Tulsa neighborhood associations were invited to the forum.
Leaders say that gangs are committed and organized, so now it's time for neighborhood associations to get organized, as well.
At the forum, Chief Chuck Jordan stressed the importance of Crime Stoppers tips in catching criminals. He said tips to Crime Stoppers remain anonymous, so he encourages anyone who witnesses a crime to call in.
Chief Jordan said the community is a vital part in solving gang related crimes.
