BMW Rear Ends Car In South Tulsa, Driver Runs Away

Tulsa Police are trying to find the driver of a BMW who rear-ended another car early Tuesday morning at 79th and Lewis.

The crash happened just before 3:30 a.m.

Police say a northbound driver was slowing for a red light at the intersection when a BMW also headed north on Lewis at a high rate of speed slammed into the back of the first car knocking it into the southbound lanes.

Police say the BMW slid almost 200 feet before coming to a stop.

Tulsa Police say the driver of the BMW was gone by the time officers arrived.

EMSA took the driver of the other car to a Tulsa hospital. Police say he is expected to be okay.
