Gun Fired During Drug Investigation At Skiatook Home

Skiatook Police are investigating a shot fired during a drug investigation at a home in Skiatook.

It happened Wednesday evening on East 3rd Street.

Police went to the home on a welfare check and immediately noticed a strong smell of marijuana.

After calling for assistance from the Tulsa County Drug Task Force, officers surrounded the home to investigate and that's when they heard a gun go off in the back bedroom.

Police say it's not clear yet if a man fired the gun intentionally or if it was an accident. No one inside was hurt.

Skiatook Police took four people into custody for questioning.
