Special Day Camp Offers Fun For Tulsa Kids With Special Needs

For the first time in Tulsa though, a unique camp is letting every kid be a kid, no matter what challenges they face.

Every summer, kids head to camps to swim, do arts and crafts, and play sports.

But it's hard for children with special needs or disabilities to attend most camps.

For the first time in Tulsa though, a unique camp is letting every kid be a kid, no matter what challenges they face.

In the video above, photojournalist Todd Ruffin shows us how Hope's Crossing makes a splash in Green Country.

Hope's Crossing is free for all campers, and is run by trained volunteers.
