Three Tulsa Sheriff's Deputies Promoted To Major

Three Tulsa County Sheriff's Office deputies were promoted to a new rank Monday. Sergeant Shannon Clark, Captain John Bowman and Captain Tom Huckeby now have the rank of Major.

The newly implemented rank will improve the department by adding to the chain of command at the division level, according to Sheriff Stanley Glanz.

The office will now have a Major assigned to each division - Court Operations, Uniform Operations and the Detention Division.

Each Major will report to the division chief deputy, Glanz said.

The three men received their promotions in a ceremony Monday at the Sheriff's Office.
