The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released the identities of two people killed in a crash on Highway 16 in Creek County Sunday afternoon.

Troopers say the driver of a Chevy minivan and her passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The OHP says the driver was Janey Wellington, 68, and the passenger was Tony Lee Hammock, 72, both of Drumright.

Troopers say an Olive Fire truck struck the minivan as Wellington "abruptly slowed and turned left toward a private drive" as the fire department truck began to pass.

The fire truck had its emergency equipment activated, according to the OHP.

The driver of the fire truck, 23-year-old Joshua Perryman of Drumright, suffered minor injuries and was treated at Bristow hospital.

The OHP says a passenger in the fire truck, William Camtbell, 27 of Jennings was not injured.

Troopers say the fire truck was en route to a grass fire that had been burning for several days.

The OHP says its investigation continues.
