Legends of Tulsa radio revived a piece of Green Country's past Thursday night.

This one-of-a-kind Oklahoma moment happened at Midtown's Travis Mansion, where DJ's from the old KAKC radio station held an old-fashioned sock hop.

Some of the folks could remember the days when they danced along with popular DJ's like Dick Schmitz and Scooter Segraves.

Others just soaked in the nostalgia.

Segraves was impressed by how many fans he still has.

"Back then, we were just a bunch of silly guys playing teeny-bopper music and having fun, going out to every kind of event, just being a part of the community, and we thought that was all over with," Segraves said.

KAKC is still around.

But it's now a sports talk station.
