'The Dominator' Storm Chaser Vehicle Makes Stop In Tulsa

It's a cross between the Batmobile and an armored vehicle.

"The Dominator" made a stop in Tulsa today.

On the TV show Storm Chasers, "The Dominator" takes a lot of hits from high-speed flying debris.

The secret that keeps it in one piece, is it's been sprayed with a kevlar coating, much like a bulletproof vest that can absorb shock and damage.

"It's very resilient," said Line-X General Manager, Glen McGuire. "It's pretty cool that a product we spray, that's running around town in every about 24,000 truck beds, is helping protect these guys when they're out chasing storms."

The Tulsa Police Department uses that same coating on their armored vehicles.
