Trailer Carrying Rare Cars Catches Fire In Verdigris

A trailer carrying rare cars caught fire late Wednesday evening on Highway 66 in Verdigris.

It happened at about 11:30 p.m.

The company that owns the trailer was dropping off a classic race car to a buyer in Claremore. 

The crew had unloaded a 1967 Pontiac GTO and a 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser in order to unload the car, when a generator on the trailer caught fire.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly.

A 2008 Honda Civic that was still in the trailer was badly damaged.

No one was hurt.
