Dallas Cowboys receiver and former OSU Cowboys standout, Dez Bryant, was arrested by DeSoto police on Monday.
New information about the arrest was released Tuesday.
Police said it was Bryant's mother who claimed the NFL wide receiver had assaulted her in Dallas last weekend.
Officers found her with bruising on her arm and a swollen wrist and thumb.
Bryant was booked into jail Monday on a $1,500 bond. He paid the bond and was released.
Family violence is a misdemeanor under Texas law.
