Travelers Pitchers Combine To Shut Out Drillers 3-0

A.J. Schugel pitched six shutout innings to lead the Arkansas Travelers to a 3-0 victory over the Tulsa Drillers Friday night.

The Travelers got two runs on the board early, smacking five straight singles with two outs in the bottom of the first.

Arkansas added an insurance run in the eighth when Brian Hernandez singled home Renny Osuna to make it 3-0.

The Drillers best opportunity for runs came in the top of the seventh with runners on first and second and only one out, but Jimmy Cesario and Jose Gonzalez flied out to end the threat.

The loss drops the Drillers to 0-2 since the All Star Break. The series continues Saturday night at 7 p.m. CST.
