Officers say they received a 911 hang-up call from the home just after 10 p.m. When the first officer arrived, police say he was confronted by 57-year-old Jose Antonio Lozada, who was leaving the home.
Jose Lozada was Joyce's estranged husband. Police say he refused the officer's command to drop his handgun and surrender. Police say officer Ian Adair fired, striking Lozada at least one time.
Jose Lozada was taken to a Tulsa hospital. He was released Monday afternoon and booked into Tulsa County jail.
Joyce Lozada was granted an emergency protective order against her estranged husband in April.
Tulsa Police officer Ian Adair is on routine leave while the shooting is being investigated.
