Team Of Churches Need More Volunteers For Youth Camp Program

A growing team of churches unites to serve north Tulsa children by hosting a summer-long camp.

The goal is to reach out to elementary school children who are struggling in school and at home.

This is the fourth year for the camp, which mixes fun with learning.

So far, five churches are each sponsoring a week of camp, but organizers need five more churches to step up.

"Come alongside, [to mentor] their junior-, senior-high youth from their church to the elementary school kids, collect arts and craft supplies, and help decorate the whole church for the week - come up with a theme," said Chris Beach of Welsey Chapel.
