A man who thought he was buying a laptop via a Craigslist ad ended up being shot and robbed at an south Tulsa apartment complex, according to Tulsa police.
Police say the victim showed up at a hospital Wednesday afternoon with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his shoulder. They say a second bullet grazed his head.
Police say the victim was responding to a Craigslist ad at the Creekwood Apartments, located at 8418 South 77th East Avenue, around 3 p.m.
The robber grabbed the victim's cash and took off running. The victim gave chase when the gunman turned around and fired at least two shots at the victim. Another bullet went into an apartment, but no one was injured there. The victim's vehicle also had the rear-window shot out.
The popular online classifieds site warns of scams and fraud. It suggests dealing locally to avoid trouble - but police say more Tulsans are finding trouble by following that advice.
"This is kind of a familiar deal we have going right now," Tulsa Police Captain Rick Helberg said.
Police are looking for two men who took off in an older, red Ford Explorer. If you know something that can help, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
