A Bartlesville Mid-High School student is in the custody of Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs following his arrest Tuesday after finding the makings of a "bleach bomb" in his locker at school.
Bartlesville Police Department says the 15-year-old student was arrested for possession of explosive items.
Police Captain Jay Hastings says they were notified by the school the student was going to make a "bleach bomb" and set it off during science class.
He says school officials got a tip and searched the student's locker, finding a glass bottle with bleach and some tin foil.
Police officers were called to the Mid-High and confiscated the bleach and other items found in the locker.
Hastings says information about the case has been turned over to the Washington County District Attorney's office.
He says there was no indication there was intent to cause harm to anyone.
Bartlesville school officials say the bleach never made it to the science class and no one was injured.
The name of the student was not released because he is a juvenile.
