A man was rushed to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition after he rolled his car along the Sand Springs Expressway late Tuesday evening.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Nicholas Briggs, 33 was westbound at 11:30 p.m. just east of 65th West Avenue when his car ran off the road and struck a light pole.

Troopers say Briggs' 2007 Volkswagen Beetle then rolled several times, throwing him out a window.  Troopers found Briggs about 150 feet from his car.  The car was destroyed.

In the trooper's report, there was an odor of alcohol on Briggs.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
