Three weeks after former head coach Ben Bowling was arrested on a DUI complaint, Tulsa Public Schools announced Tuesday that former Muskogee coach Klinck has been named the new head coach for the East Central Cardinals football team.
"Bobby Klinck is an outstanding young man and was a good high school and college football player in the Tulsa area," Gil Cloud, TPS athletic director said in a press release. "As the new head football coach at East Central he brings an excitement to the program that will have a very positive impact this spring, summer and on to the fall season."
Klinck has most recently served as the defensive coordinator for the Muskogee Roughers, as well as coaching at Owasso and serving as a graduate assistant with both the University of Tulsa and the University of Central Missouri.
As a player, Klinck originally enrolled to play for the Oklahoma Sooners, but transferred to TU for the 2004 season.
