A U.S. Marine who returned home to Camp LeJeune, North Carolina following a 7-month deployment in Afghanistan was greeted by his 6-year-old son who had a huge surprise for his dad.

When Staff Sgt. Jeremy Cooney left for his deployment, his son Michael, who has cerebral palsy, couldn't walk.  In fact, Cooney and his wife had been told their son would never walk.

But while Sgt. Cooney was away, his wife Melissa and their three other children taught Michael to stand up on his own and proved the doctors wrong.

The rest of the family kept it a secret from Sgt. Cooney until he returned home to the wonderful surprise.

Watch the home video above to see the surprise revealed.
