Police were responding to a call at an east Tulsa apartment complex at about 2 a.m. Sunday when they heard five to six gunshots ring out.

As officers searched for the source of the gunfire, they saw two women running from The Meadows Apartments, 2800 South 115th East Avenue. One had been shot in the leg.

Officers continued to search the area and found a man who had been shot in the back. That gunshot victim was carrying a firearm, police say.

Both victims were expected to survive their wounds.

The only suspect description at this time is a black male wearing a gray shirt, according to Sergeant Chris Moudy of the Tulsa Police Department.

If you can help police with this crime, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
