On the day a WWII veteran was laid to rest, random citizens came together to raise money for his family.

Bob Strait, 90, died last week. His wife Nancy, 85, died in March. The couple had been married 65 years before Nancy died as a result of injuries received at the hands of a brutal attacker.

Both Bob and Nancy Strait were heinously beaten by an intruder to their north Tulsa home.

Bob Strait's funeral was held Saturday at Floral Haven Cemetery.

Also on Saturday, a group of Green Country bikers rallied in support of the family at a "Strait Justice" rally.

More importantly, they hope their cause will help bring justice to Bob and Nancy's loved ones.

The group wants to "get the word out there to get the guys that are still out there on the run and to make sure [the Straits] get justice," Leslie Morris said.

One man, Tyrone Woodfork, has been charged with first-degree murder in Nancy's death, and police have said they are following other leads. Woodfork, 20, is the main suspect in the case, according to investigators.

"It's very heartwarming to know that people you don't even know care that much about justice," said Bob's brother, Jerrell Strait.
