Cigarette thieves used a white Ford F-150 pickup truck to break into a Tulsa Walgreens store early Friday morning.
Tulsa Police say the burglary occurred at the store at 15th and Yale.
After smashing in the front door, police say the burglars went inside and stole cigarettes then drove away in the truck.
"Cigarettesare worth a lot of money on the streets," Tulsa Police Cpl. Gene Watkins said. "Youcan turn them easily into cash."
Police released surveillance video of the pickup backing into the door and two men with laundry baskets running inside and stealing cigarettes.
"Obviously, they probably had buyers and they knew what brands would sell the quickest for them," Watkins said. "They maybe have a convenient store they're going to resell them to so that's the kind of stuff we'll be looking into."
The door was secured with wood panels until the store could repair the damage.
Tulsa Police Cpl. Gene Watkins says the thieves steal cigarettes because they are an easy item to sell and make money.
If anyone knows anything about the burglary, the Ford pickup truck, or the two men, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
