A fishing trip to a lake in Jefferson County by a pair of Henryetta, Texas men turned deadly Thursday afternoon.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Gary Moore Sr. and Daniel Enox were fishing on Waurika Lake in a 14-foot boat when one of the men stood up and caused the boat to become unstable. Both men were thrown from boat.
The boat began circling and actually hit Enox, 73.
Another nearby fisherman saw what happened and rescued Enox, but couldn't get to Moore, 54, who was face down in the water.
The fisherman was able to stop the boat from circling and brought it and Enox to shore.
Emergency crews recovered Moore's body about 200 yards from shore in about 10 feet of water.
