An Owasso man is headed to prison after pleading guilty in Rogers County District Court to a charge of abuse by caretaker stemming from a 2010 incident.
David Brubaker was arrest in February 2010 for beating his 83-year-old mother-in-law. Sheriff's deputies says the woman's granddaughter called 911 and reported he was assaulting both of the women.
Deputies say the injuries Brubaker caused included a broken nose, a broken neck, a broken jaw, a broken thumb, a broken elbow, as well as several fractures in elderly woman's back and spine.
They said the woman uses a wheelchair and reportedly suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

The state dismissed a charge of domestic assault and battery. The judge ordered Brubaker to serve 10 years in prison with 4 years suspended.
