Tulsa Police say a man in a jealous rage stabbed another man three times late Wednesday evening, all over a woman.
The incident occurred in the garage of a home near 21st and Garnett at about 11:45 p.m.
Officers say a boyfriend became upset when his girlfriend came home with another man. Police arrested 29-year-old Troy Hofrichter of Broken Arrow for stabbing a man twice in the chest and once in the arm.
He was booked into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon.
Tulsa Police say Troy Hofrichter and the girlfriend's mother were in the home as Hofrichter was moving out. Police say the fight started when he girlfriend came home in a pickup truck driven by another man.
The girlfriend said the other man was just a friend, but Tulsa Police say Hofrichter didn't like that explanation. He fought with the other man in the garage and pulled a knife.
"We could hear a loud commotion in the garage and as officers approached they found the victim and suspect, and two females yelling at each other," said Sgt. Clint Roberts, Tulsa Police.
EMSA rushed the stabbing victim to a Tulsa hospital where police say he is expected to survive his wounds. Hofrichter remains in the jail on a $25,000 bond.
