Two elementary school students have been transported to the hospital after their school bus rear ended a semi on Highway 75 near the Interstate 44 bridge, Tulsa Public Schools has confirmed.

Sixteen students from Anderson Elementary School and four adults were on board for a museum field trip when the bus came up on traffic congestion and could not stop before hitting a semi.

A TPS spokesperson said the two children transported had only minor injuries and the other kids continued on to the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art on the Zarrow campus.

Tulsa police would not say whether the bus driver would be cited for the collision.
