An employee at a Coffeyville, Kansas business shot and killed a man who he says was trying to rob him Monday morning.
Coffeyville Police say a 911 call caused officers to respond to Kennedy Sweeper at 900 West 8th Street and found Terrence Clark, 23, of Coffeyville dead.
According to police commander Danny Grigg, the employee said Clark had showed a weapon during the robbery so the employee pulled his own gun and shot Clark once.
Grigg says the state of Kansas has a Right to Defend Your Ground law. He says the police department is still investigating, but once it's done it will turn over its report to the Montgomery County Attorney.
The county attorney will determine what charges, if any, will be filed in the case.
