One big inning from the Northwest Arkansas Naturals gave them a 4-3 win over the Tulsa Drillers Sunday, their second consecutive loss of the road trip.
After falling behind 1-0 on a solo shot by Wil Myers in the bottom of the first, Tulsa managed to play small ball to take the lead.
The Drillers led off the second inning with a Tim Torres double, and Michael Mitchell laid down a sacrifice bunt to Torres home and tie the game 1-1. Nolan Arenado hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the third, bringing Josh Rutledge home from third to take a 2-0 lead.
Tulsa capped off its scoring the top of the fifth, thanks to an Angelys Nina sacrifice fly to bring Jose Gonzalez home in the top of the fifth.
However, Northwest Arkansas back-to-back came up with back-to-back singles, putting two on the base with no outs and Mario Lisson homered to left field, bringing Wil Myers and John Whittleman home to take a 4-3 lead.
Noel Arguells (1-3) picked up his first win of the season, giving up three earned runs on seven hits in 6.1 innings of service. Nick Schmidt (1-1) was credited with a loss, giving up four earned runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings of service.
Tulsa will be back in action at 7 p.m. Monday against the Naturals, in the third game of the four-game road series.
