Man Dies After Wrecking ATV On Oklahoma River Bed

A Kansas man died after an ATV wreck on Salt Fork River in Kay County, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

A Kansas man died after an ATV wreck on Salt Fork River in Kay County. It happened at 4:30 p.m. Friday just south of the Kansas state line.

Brian David McCreary of Arkansas City was driving a Yamaha four-wheeler on the river bed when the ATV hit a rough patch and flipped over, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

McCreary, 38, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered internal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the Arkansas City Hospital.

The Kansas man was in apparently normal condition at the time of the wreck. The cause of the collision is listed as unsafe speed.
