Three University of Tulsa football players have reportedly agreed to free agent contracts. G.J. Kinne, Damaris Johnson and Tyrunn Walker penned the contracts after the opening hours of undrafted free agent signings, according to nepatriotsdraft.com.
Kinne is an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets. The TU quarterback is the only player in school history to pass for more than 6,000 yards and run for more than 1,000 yards. A 6'3" three-year starting QB, Kinne completed his career second in school history for total offense yards (10,831), passing yards (9,472) and TD passes thrown (81), according to Don Tomkalski, University of Tulsa.
Johnson will be with the Philadelphia Eagles and Walker with the New Orleans Saints.
Although Johnson did not play in the 2011 season, he was a three-year letterwinner and starter at receiver from 2008-10. He is the NCAA's all-time record holder for all-purpose yards with 7,796 yards and for career kickoff return yardage with 3,417 yards.
The 5'8" receiver totaled 29 career touchdowns.
Walker, a 6'3" defensive end, played and started in all 26 career games at Tulsa. Walker made 84 tackles, 25.5 stops, 13.5 sacks, 11 pass break ups, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his career. He also blocked two field goals.
Oklahoma State University wide receiver Josh Cooper is also listed at nepatriots.com. Cooper is reportedly going with the Cleveland Browns.
OSU offensive tackle Levy Adcock is listed with the Dallas Cowboys, and OSU center Grant Garner with the Washington Redskins. In addition, OSU confirmed Monday that offensive lineman Nick Martinez will also be in rookie camp for the Redskins.
