Drillers Knock Down Arkansas For Fourth-Straight Win

Tulsa's Dan Houston was strong on the mound striking out seven in eight innings of action during the 2-1 Drillers win.

The Tulsa Drillers won its fourth-straight contest with a 2-1 victory over the Arkansas Travelers Tuesday night in Tulsa.

Tulsa's Kiel Roling and Warren Schaeffer both went 2-for-3 from the plate while both plating one RBI each on the night. Tulsa right hander Dan Houston pitched eight strong innings allowing two hits and one run to eventually score while striking out seven batters.

The game was scoreless until the fourth when both teams got on the board. Arkansas' Roberto Lopez reached first on a fielders choice that allowed Darwin Perez to score from third.

In the bottom of the frame, Tulsa's Roling blasted a home run ball to left knotting the game 1-1.

The Drillers would add the last run of the game in the seventh. With one runner on and one out, Schaeffer connected on a ground ball single to center to score Roling for the 2-1 decision.

Josh Sullivan picks up the save for the Drillers with one inning of relief and one strikeout to seal the win.

Arkansas' Ariel Pena is credited with the loss. He went 6.2 innings on the mound for the Travelers striking out eight while allowing five hits and two runs to score.

Game three of the four-game series is set for Wednesday at 12:05 p.m.
