Oral Roberts was held to just one hit during Tuesday's 6-1 loss to the No. 21 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks.

A last ditch effort by the Golden Eagles in the top of the ninth broke the scoring silence as Jared Schlehuber connected on ORU's only hit of the game to score Nate Goro from third.

Arkansas' Tim Carver had a stellar night going 2-for-3 with two home runs.

The Golden Eagles went down in the first inning, then Carver belted the first of his home runs for Arkansas down the left field line for an early 1-0 lead.

The Razorbacks added another run in the second off Jacob Morris' hit to short. He was thrown out at first, but it allowed one run to score.

After two scoreless innings by both teams, Arkansas added two more runs, the first in the bottom of the fifth when Carver blasted his second home run of the game while another run came home in the bottom of the sixth frame when Derrick Bleeker doubled to left and scored Tulsa native Matt Reyolds making it 4-0.

The Razorbacks only increased its lead in the seventh. With two runners on and one out, Jacob Mahan connected on a single to right to score Jake Wise but an error on ORU allowed Jacob Morris to also score.

Arkansas had nine hits on the night in the 6-1 win. Razorbacks starter Trent Daniel pitched three innings allowing no hits while striking out five.

ORU is now 21-19 on the season. Starter Philip Wilson went three innings from the mound allowing two hits and two runs to score with no strikeouts.

The Golden Eagles return to action Friday in a three-game road series against South Dakota State starting at 3:00 p.m.
