Fake Money Hits Owasso Businesses

A rash of counterfeit money is hitting Owasso businesses, according to police.

Several counterfeit $20 bills - and one $100 bill - have been used at convenience and fast food stores in the last two weeks, Owasso police say.

Owasso investigators have turned the bills over to the U.S. Secret Service – which investigates counterfeit cases.

Owasso Police are asking all businesses to be on the lookout for suspicious looking bills. If you spot one, call the non-emergency number of the Police Department at 918-272-2244.
