The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says is investigating after a 21-year-old pedestrian was struck by a pickup on private property in Grant County.

Troopers say at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, near county roads 1090 and Grant, a 1974 Chevrolet ½-ton pickup ran over Dominique Warrior, who was lying in the tall grass.

It is not yet known why she was in the grass, according to the trooper's report.

The pickup was driven by Randall Wade, 22, of Billings. Justin Scot Epperly, 18, of Tonkawa and Jonathan Ray Stokesberry, 19, of Tonkawa were passengers.

Warrior, a resident of Ponca City, was transported to an Oklahoma City hospital with a broken femur and head injuries.

The OHP report listed her in critical condition, and the hospital verified she is in ICU.

The investigation is ongoing.
