A Tulsa man is headed to prison after he pleads ‘no contest' to a charge of 2nd degree murder following an incident in 2010.

A Tulsa man is headed to prison after he pleads ‘no contest' to a charge of 2nd degree murder following an incident in 2010.

Michael Cypert, 38, was arrested in July 2010 after Tulsa Police say he set his roommate on fire after pouring Vodka on him.

The roommate, 46-year-old Robert Nichols died several days later in a Tulsa hospital.

Cypert was sentenced to 30 years in prison. He was initially charged with 1st degree murder. 

A charge of first degree arson against Cypert was dismissed.
