Pink Tractor

I feel terrible that it's been so long since I posted here. I've been consumed with Facebook and Twitter that I almost forgot about the blog. Forgive me!

I am constantly reminded about the importance of breast cancer awareness and getting the word out that early detection is the key. I just recently met a woman who lost her mom to breast cancer and she was looking for a way to honor her mom and spread the word.

She's a member of the Standing Tall Tractor Club and she always wanted a pink tractor. A friend told her if she found the tractor, he'd paint it pink. She did! He did! They were kind enough to bring it to the station to share their story with me. The tractor will be hauled to parades and events in hopes of raising awareness and maybe a few dollars along the way.

Each of us has some way to help. Some of us are passionate because it happened to us. Others are passionate because it didn't. I hope you'll look for ways to help and if you see the pink tractor, make a donation!
