Tulsa Public Schools' McLain Advisory Committee is holding a public meeting Wednesday at the high school in the 4900 block of North Peoria.
School officials say the meeting which starts at 6 p.m. is to share information about the state Department of Education's partnership with TPS.
The C3 Partnership will develop a new instructional model to address student achievement at the junior high and high school.
TPS superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard community input is important part of the process.
"We cannot emphasize enough the important role the Tulsa community will play in transforming McLain High School and Junior High, and the Advisory Committee is integral to the process," said Dr. Keith Ballard, TPS superintendent. "It is really too early to say what new ideas will emerge from this community partnership with TPS and the State Department of Education. However, we can assure you that it will be highly collaborative and community input, combined with the needs of our students, is going to be central to the process."
Committee members including co-chairs Dr. Lana Turner-Addison, TPS Board of Education member, and Kevin Burr, associate superintendent for secondary schools.
