Truck Collides With Lawn Mower, Sending Bixby Man To Hospital

A truck collided with a lawnmower Saturday morning, leaving a man who was mowing grass in serious condition at a Tulsa hospital.

The crash happened before 8 a.m. on 181st Street South, just west of Yale Avenue.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2007 Ford Truck, driven by 74-year-old Helen Taylor of Bixby, left the roadway and overcorrected.

Taylor lost control and struck a brick mailbox and a John Deere Zero-Turn mower, driven by Mark Kaiser, 44, of Bixby, OHP said.

Taylor was transported by EMSA in stable condition with head, trunk and arm injuries.

Kaiser was transported in serious condition with head, trunk and leg injuries.
