Does the beautiful weather have you itching to get outside and plant something?
They did just that in Broken Arrow Tuesday morning. Veterans from the local VFW helped the city celebrate Arbor Day by planting three Oregon pine trees at Haskell Park.
Broken Arrow has actually been celebrating Arbor "Day" for the entire month.
"We've planted 49 trees to date," said horticulturalist Chris Ohler. "This is going to make 52, and we're looking at about 56 by the time the week is done."
Broken Arrow is also celebrating its 12th year as a "Tree City USA" community.
