A California company is building a facility in a Washington County community that will supply a wax substance used in the food business.
Ochelata officials say the $2-milllion building is being built by Premiere Wax, a subsidiary of Masterank, Incorporated of Long Beach, California.
City officials say the company will make wax coating for paper products used in the food business.
Ochelata Mayor Syd Barnes says he expects Premiere Wax to start operations sometime in 2012.
The company tells NewsOn6.com employment is estimated at less than 5 full-time employees and less than 10 part-time employees.
Barnes says some of the company's customers include International Paper Company and Georgia Pacific.
